Job Description:

  • The Database Administrator is responsible for the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity and planning for future expansions.

Required Skills:

  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
  • Experience MS AZURE
  • Extensive DBA experience with MS SQL Server 2008 and up
  • Expertise in Database Administration on Production Servers with server configuration, monitoring, performance tuning and maintenance with outstanding troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Replication especially with regard to scalability concerns, Backup/ Recovery, Disaster recovery and planning.
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • Hands on experience in high availability and redundancy options, Database mirroring, Availability groups
  • Audit/approve developers' change requests to existing tables, stored procedures, indices, constraints, triggers and views, as well as audit/approve new entries.
  • Help developers to performance tune code related to database access.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
