Mandatory Requirements:

  • Extensive Experience in Leading Geographically spread Technical team (Network/Firewall)
  • Extensive experience in customer interfacing and front ending the Technical teams.
  • Extensive experience in managing large corporate network environment
  • Playing a crucial role in the design, architect and providing support of Cisco-based Routers, Switches, Gateways, Security Solutions, Wireless Solutions and Network Management across WAN/LAN
  • Capable of Reviewing and validating BOM High Level Design, Low Level design and Acceptance test planning for various Networks
  • Leadership in handling technical issues and escalations.
  • Put together technical presentations and meeting facilitations
  • Work closely with customers, project managers and other engineers to develop customized Network & Security solution.
  • Ability to work under pressure and identify technical proactively and take appropriate decision/plan to resolve them

Skills Required:

  • Experience in technical architect design & Implementation of Data Center Networks involving Cisco Nexus & Advanced Switching technologies (FHRP / VPC / VDC / VSS)
  • Experience in Design & Implementation of Large WAN Networks involving MPLS, EGP (BGP) and IGP (OSPF, EIGRP) protocols
  • Experience in Design & Implementation of Firewall & VPN Technologies.
  • Experience in WAN Optimization solutions from Riverbed, Cisco, and F5.
  • Cisco Nexus Data Center Solutions, including Nexus 7K, 6K, 5K, 2K, and 1K products.
  • Capable of Reviewing and validating BOM High Level Design, Low Level design and Acceptance test planning for various Networks
  • Leadership in handling technical issues and escalations.
  • Put together research presentations and meeting facilitations
  • Work closely with customers, project managers and other engineers to develop customized Network & Security solution.
  • Leading the Technical team and offshore and onsite co-ordinations
  • Work closely with the Project Manager in project planning, status reporting and ensure adherence to SLAs
  • Managing and maintaining the Wide Area and Local Area Networks with proper capacity and scalability.
  • Configuring and maintaining proactive Network Monitoring System leveraging existing tools in order to maintain and track important metrics.
  • Maintaining relationship with telecommunications carrier representatives for the existing and future network installations that include service providers of Leased lines, Internet Gateways, MPLS Links etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors and business partners of various organizations to procure Network equipment and services.
  • Performing frequent Network Trending & Analysis and make recommendations and changes accordingly to maximize performance and minimize costs
  • Planning for disaster recovery and BCP processes for the Network Setup.
  • Management of compliance with information security controls requirements.
  • Implementation of information security policies and procedures for the Network setup.
  • Should have the capability to work independently apart from leading a team of skilled resources.
  • Should have strong troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to lead a project in Design, Implementation, up to closure, including Hands on Skills on R&S
  • Prior experience as team lead of network team or NOC for an ISP, data center, or a hosting service provider is preferred.
  • Must have a keen technical inclination to learn several technologies around Network and Network Security
  • Must be very strong on basic Networking and Network security concepts
  • Must have hands on experience in the following:
  • Cisco Networking and Security technologies.
  • Cisco High end Switches and Routers
  • Familiarity with Firewalls like Checkpoint
  • Network protocols BGP/EIGRP/OSPF/MPLS / VPN (IPSEC) etc.
  • Switching technologies including Trunking, Layer-2 / Layer-3 Switching, HSRP etc.
  • Clustering technologies Active/Active, Active/Passive
  • IDS/IPS management of reputed make
  • Exposure on Load Balancer & Proxy servers
