About Client:   Our client is a world-class financial services company with its North American headquarters in Boston looking to add an US Benefits Coordinator to expand the Boston office. This team is rapidly growing, and team members have lots of opportunities for advancement. This is a 4 Months contract, with the potential to convert.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • US Benefits Coordinator (Contractor) will support the delivery and administration of Client’s US benefits, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • General US Benefits Administration activities including Annual Enrollment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the US Benefits Delivery Manager on service delivery of all US benefits, wellness programs and retirement plans ensuring data accuracy from external vendors, regularly monitoring and updating scripts used by the GHR Service Center and other external providers, and provide support to Tier 3 employee inquiries
  • Facilitate compliance with policies, state and federal laws
  • Support the annual open enrollment process including employee communications, onsite benefits presentations and onsite/online benefits fairs
  • Assist in the review of employee benefits communications to ensure benefit programs are fully understood and appropriately valued by employees and managers and manage communication execution
  • Monitor benefits content on all employee benefits sites including the internal Corporate Policy Center to ensure that content is current and that review dates are met
  • Participate in various special projects and benefit initiatives including identifying milestones, testing and tracking to ensure timely implementation
  • Prepare and manage compliance calendar to include all required notices, reports, filings, and employee communications
  • Support the onsite US Wellness Coordinator’s activity planning including wellness fairs and onsite workshops, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Benefits administration/operations role
  • Prior exposure to US benefits and retirement regulations including 401(k), ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA is preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach and ability to work within tight deadlines is essential
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and consultants
  • Ability to interact with employees and management and handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver high quality work with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentation are possible, but unlikely to deliver presentations.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, organizational and customer service skills are required, coupled with a strong sense of urgency toward problem resolution
  • Team player with a positive attitude and solid collaborative skills
  • There will be limited training
